§01Why a glossary at all
Filed 2026-09-08. The project needs a glossary because a superlative attached to a trade discipline reads differently depending on which trade discipline the reader has in mind. “Best concrete contractor” means one thing to a homeowner who wants a driveway and another to an owner who wants a warehouse floor. The glossary files the terms once, at one address, so every page in the network can point at the same definition.

The reason is drift. A term restated in different words on every page drifts across the file, and a drifting term becomes a drifting claim. A term filed once holds still. The whole point of a glossary is holding still.
